Extends from December to late February or early March when the average daily temperature ranges between 12°c and 22°c. Even though at nights the mercury drops down to the level of 10°c and below and the climate turns significantly cold and snappy. It is recommended that the tourists should carry heavy woolen clothes along during winter. However, the nippy winters of Matheran are perfect for all the tourism as well as adventure pursuits.
